Clutterfree with Kids

Since this month is all about streamlining, I’m going to share a few books with you that are specifically related to living with less.

Living with less doesn’t mean living without things you need, love, or even living without luxuries. It’s about living without the extras that weigh you down. That take up your time. That rob you of joy.

It’s about giving you MORE of what MATTERS.

The book I want to recommend today is called Clutterfree with Kids: Change your thinking. Discover new habits. Free your home.

Those of you with kids may be thinking there is NO WAY that you can eliminate clutter when you have those little munchkins running around. But Joshua Becker, the author of this book, says you can. And you’ll actually enjoy your time with them more.

Now this isn’t a how-to guide on how to organize your child’s belongings. It’s about shifting your mindset a bit. Maybe not all the way towards minimalism. But at least one step closer.

Joshua Becker gives practical advise on how to give gifts to kids, how to handle their artwork, and how to organize their clothes and toys.

If you have kids, this is a must read.

You may not be convinced that minimalism is the best way after reading this book, but you should definitely have a better sense about what to hang on to and what to let go of.

Here’s a quick recap of the books I’ve mentioned so far this year:

If you’re a reader, I can’t recommend these books enough! Try reading in iBooks or the Kindle to stay clutter-free.

Now on to our daily task…

Write down every single thing that you need to accomplish this week. Then schedule those things (but make sure they’re the RIGHT things) on your calendar. That way, you’ll know WHEN you will accomplish those things on your to-do list.

It will be 5-15 minutes well spent!

Your assignment for today:

  • Get your to-do list in order.
  • Sign up for our 3 Ways to Simplify Your Stuff webinar!!

Check in when you’re finished in the Spring Cleaning 365 accountability group, in the comment section here, or on Facebook. I can’t wait to hear from you!
